Today two of our coaches Drew and Mike competed in the Sydney International Open kata championship. Drew was the star of the day competing in Nage no Kata with a partner who he had only 20 mins to practice with prior to the event but also changing his normal role from Uke to Tori. Mike, with his kata partner Ernie again won the Katame no Kata with a very satisfying 86% performance in preparation for the world championships in November, in Sardinia. They also presented for the first time Goshin Jitsui and achieved a pleasing 70% score for another Bronze medal. ... See MoreSee Less
