DESCRIPTION:Whether you’re curious about judo\, looking for a new way to stay active\, or already a passionate judoka\, this event is for you. Judo NSW and UNSW Judo Club are excited to present a special Women’s Judo Session – a welcoming\, empowering space for women and girls to come together\, move\, learn\, and connect through judo. \nNo experience? No problem! This is a beginner-friendly session open to all women and girls – from absolute first-timers to experienced judoka. You’ll get a chance to step onto the mat\, learn new skills\, and be part of a supportive and inclusive judo community. \nAfter the session\, stick around to enjoy light refreshments – a relaxed way to meet others\, share experiences\, and strengthen connections beyond the mat. \n\nWhat to Expect:\n\nA fun\, beginner-friendly training session led by experienced female instructors\nGames\, interactive drills\, and an introduction to judo\nA welcoming and supportive environment for all fitness and experience levels\nMeet and connect with other women in the judo community\nLight refreshments provided afterwards – a great opportunity to relax and connect with others\n\n  \nWho Can Attend?\nEveryone who identifies as female and is interested in trying or continuing judo – no experience necessary! \nCost:\nFree – open to the public \nWhat to bring:\n\nA water bottle\nA judo gi (uniform) if you have one – if not\, no worries! DESCRIPTION:Black Belt Dan Grading is coming up in August.  Now is the time to get your Dan candidates working on their Kata.\n\nThe Judo NSW BBR Kata coaches will hold an instructor’s Kata workshop to help you prepare your candidate students for the Kata portion of the grading.  You will learn key points of and drills for Nage no Kata and Katame no Kata to pass onto your students.\n\nDate: 21 and 28 June 2025\, 1:30-4:00pm\nVenue: Judo NSW Martial Arts Dojo\, Silverwater\nContent: Nage no Kata and Katame no Kata (respectively)\nCoaches: Dale Keogh (6th Dan) and Ernie Wakamatsu (5th Dan)\, Judo NSW Kata Team Coaches\n\nInstructors can expect a minimal amount of actual throwing (Nage) and grappling (Newaza)\, but will develop a deeper understanding of Nage and Katame no Kata concepts.\nDan candidates are also welcome to attend these sessions.\nCost of these session is $60 per session or $100 for both sessions.\n\nPlease register at https://www.revolutionise.com.au/judonsw/classes/11081

Weight divisions will be determined after the weigh-ins where athletes will be grouped by closest weight. \nEntry Fee: $25.00 per player.
