Kata Instructors Workshop

Black Belt Dan Grading is coming up in August. Now is the time to get your Dan candidates working on their Kata.
The Judo NSW BBR Kata coaches will hold an instructor’s Kata workshop to help you prepare your candidate students for the Kata portion of the grading. You will learn key points of and drills for Nage no Kata and Katame no Kata to pass onto your students.
Date: 21 and 28 June 2025, 1:30-4:00pm
Venue: Judo NSW Martial Arts Dojo, Silverwater
Content: Nage no Kata and Katame no Kata (respectively)
Coaches: Dale Keogh (6th Dan) and Ernie Wakamatsu (5th Dan), Judo NSW Kata Team Coaches
Instructors can expect a minimal amount of actual throwing (Nage) and grappling (Newaza), but will develop a deeper understanding of Nage and Katame no Kata concepts.
Dan candidates are also welcome to attend these sessions.
Cost of these session is $60 per session or $100 for both sessions.
