Sport & Recreation General Principles of Coaching Course
The first Intermediate General Principles of Coaching Course for 2015will be held at the end of February (February 27, 28 and March 1) at the NSW Sport and Recreation Offices in Sydney Olympic Park.
The Intermediate General Principles of Coaching course contains units on the following topics

- Program Management
- Planning
- Sports Safety
- Coaching Processes
- Inclusive Coaching
- Skill Acquisition
- Introduction to Physiology
- Basic Anatomy and Biomechanics
- Development and Maturation
- Nutrition for Sport
- Sport Psychology
- Anti Doping in Sport
The IGP course has been designed by the Australian Sports Commission to complement existing Coach Accreditation Programs higher than the introductory levels but it can also be undertaken by experienced coaches, as a professional development activity, to improve their knowledge and skills.

Times: 4.00pm – 9.30pm (Friday, March 28), 9.00am – 5.30pm (Saturday, March 29), 9.00am – 5.00pm (Sunday, March 30)
Venue: Durack Room, NSW Sport and Recreation Offices, 6 Figtree Dve., Sydney Olympic Park
