Sport and Recreation Sector Update – Thursday 24 June 2021

Following the announcement by the Premier yesterday, the Public Health (COVID-19 Greater Sydney) Order (No 2) 2021 was published overnight and includes revised rules and restrictions for the sport and active recreation sector.

The following Judo training related takeouts for clubs operating in the Greater Sydney region:

  • Facemask exemptions apply to persons aged 12 years or under and persons with a physical or mental health illness or condition, or disability, that makes wearing a fitted face covering unsuitable (Refer Part 4, Page 9)

The NSW Government COVID-19 website provides a comprehensive summary of the new rules and restrictions relating to Greater Sydney, including maps and definitions for Greater Sydney and Metropolitan Sydney and other areas where restrictions apply including Central Coast, Wollongong, Blue Mountains and Shellharbour.
