Judo NSW is thrilled to announce our newest board member!
Felipe is head coach and founder of Jiu Jitsu Kingdom, a highly successful business owner and prominent figure in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu community. As an advocate of martial arts, in particular grappling sports, Felipe has volunteered countless hours in the past promoting BJJ to people of all backgrounds and has been a large contributor to the sport’s rapid growth. Now as part of the Judo NSW community Felipe will be able to draw upon his past successes and executive experience to help us increase participation, recruit volunteers, and grow Judo!
Felipe was introduced to Judo NSW when his son’s trained at UNSW and then Kokoro Judo. He fell in love with the volunteer and amateur nature of the grassroots judo community. “I like the idea of having the opportunity to give back to the community”
In Felipe’s role, he will help manage of our volunteer base as well as promoting Judo in the greater community. This includes improving volunteer training, communications, and overall experience. Felipe will help Judo NSW create a sustainable system of volunteers to help us run competitions and events and grow Judo!
